Posting of lesson plans, power points and homework assignments

Hi Parents and Students

I just want to clarify a few things as there was some confusion about homework assignments.

I will try to post the lesson plans and any material for the current weeks class on Monday.

Homework will be posted Tuesday night or Wednesday morning, The homework will be "due" at the following week's class.

In class, we will be finishing a review of the different forms of energy by reviewing the power point.

This week we will be continuing to talk about forms of energy. We will finish the power point presentation of the last to forms of Thermal and Sound Energy.

First day of Science class Sept.11,2018

I want to thank all the students that joined my science classes today! I look forward to getting to know everyone and having fun learning science, I hope to have the technical difficulties that occurred today worked out by next class, I appreciate your patience and understanding.

Welcome to the 2018-2019 Science Classes with Mrs. Gold

Hi Everyone! I am back!

 On September 11th , I will be again teaching Science classes for the Home school group. I am excited to be back with a great group of kids and parents.

 This year we will hopefully have 2-3 groups. I will be working with the grades 4-7 groups and the 8th grade and up group. The grade 4-7 groups will meet for 60 minutes and the 8th and up group will meet for 90 minutes. The grade 4-7 groups will be more of a general science class that will cover multiple areas of science (Biology/Living Environment, Physical Science, Chemistry and Earth Science). The 8th and up group will be focusing on environmental topics and Earth Science topics (geology, meteorology,etc)

Any questions regarding class times should be directed toward Lauren Scott or Shamima Anis.

 It is important for students to have the proper materials to make their science learning experience a success.
 Please make sure that your child brings the following things to Science class every week:

•   2 composition notebooks (one for note taking and one for a lab notebook) 
•  2 folders (one for handouts and one for any labs that we may do) 
•  Pencils with erasers (please make sure your child sharpens them before class to avoid disruption to classmates) 

I look forward to meeting and seeing everyone on September 11th.
